Things you see on a weekend

Currently at fixing stage, we are guesstimating that there’s still two more months to go before moving in. Just in time for the Easter break and my birthday! With all the furniture and appliance sale deals going on this month, we are always around shops looking for the essentials on the first few months in the new house. Essentials for us will be the fridge, washing machine, lounge, dining set, bar stools. Once we’re home all I do is check these shops’ websites. Then this thing happened when you just realise that you’re trapped on the internet’s retail side. Checking one online shop to another. Finding things you should not think about spending your money on yet because you’re saving for these essentials. But still doing this post for future reference!

Boxing Day 2014

Like America’s Black Friday shopping, I’ve been waiting for this year’s Boxing Day Deals and I’m especially looking into buying some household items and maybe appliances or furniture. The whole day has passed and there’s nothing that is worth getting. Even with clothing and shoes, it just seems like the deals are not that good compared to my memory of last year’s.

Just as when it’s almost midnight, I received a go signal from the husband to get this beautiful chair. I saw them first on instagram and based on my research I can get them in Richmond for $700+ then not be able to afford mortgage. But last night for some magical reason, I  found them on sale at Milan Direct for $243. I also checked their Facebook page and turns out they’re offering free shipping if you use code: MDFSBOXING on checkout which if I didn’t, would cost me another $100+. That’s a total savings of $570!
