Mission: Change Address

We are close to our fourth week living in our new home and it’s time to change addresses! Thank goodness for online accounts, there is no need to leave home or work just to change it nor spend a few dollars to send the paper form of changing you address (for most of them at least!). The checklist below  has been helpful and also this link right here! Just apply whenever applicable.

Below are the things we’ve changed online, in no particular order.

  • Bank and other financial institutions (we have to personally go to the bank for the home loan)
  • Superannuation accounts
  • VicRoads (for those living in Victoria, this one is easier personally as they can quickly print and give you the sticker on the spot)
  • Ebay account
  • Paypal account
  • MyGov account (as most of our ATO accounts are linked to this, some even Medicare, Centrelink, etc)
  • Insurances – Health, Car, Home and Contents, etc
  • Australian Electoral Commission (prepare your driver’s license)
  • Mobile phone and other utility providers
  • Membership cards to shops and other entities

Consider other accounts that send you a bill. Now, only thing i’m not sure about is with our council. There’s no forms or any info in regards to changing the address online so we have to call with this one. Things we still have to change are vehicle rego and home loan.

Hope all is going well with yous!

Karen
